In this project, you will improve the set-up process of CT metrology by reducing the time necessary to find an optimized task-specific set of CT parameters. This will be achieved by enhancing a knowledge-based system, which uses expert knowledge to support the decision to find the most suitable parameter set. The knowledge-based system follows a workpiece similarity approach, taking into account scale, form and material. This approach will be extended towards additional workpiece properties (e.g. roughness, multi-material aspects) and influencing parameters. In addition, it will be enhanced using a feature-based approach, since different features require different optimal parameter sets. You cooperate with ESR 2 to scrutinize the multi-material aspects of your approach. In addition, you will benefit from the cooperation with partners KU Leuven en DTU and an end-user industry partner in order to validate the developed approach.
