As part of the advanced wireless analog/RF team, design state-of-the-art deep sub-micron CMOS transceivers for emerging next generation wireless applications.
MSEE or PhD plus 4+ years of industry experience in the design of Analog/RFICs.
•Experience in transistor-level design of one or more of the following areas are required: Baseband Filters, VGA, ADC, LNA, Mixer, RFVGA, VCO, frac-N synthesizer
•A thorough understanding of the physical layout requirement and ability to perform critical layouts
•Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, etc
•Lab testing skills to evaluate the prototype unit to the design specification.
•Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.
The candidate will work in an international team of leading design and RF architecture experts with the aim of optimising RX/TX architecture for current and next generation communication standards (WCDMA/LTE). The goal of the research will be the power consumption reduction of the mobile handset by exploiting of the knowledge of the transmission channel conditions in order to adapt the receiver and trasmitter performance.
A deep knowledge of communication theory and communication standards is required. The goal of reducing power consumption will be achieved through architectural and/or circuit based solution.
