The research area concerns with processing technologies for non-metallic materials, in particular for polymeric composite materials used in the automotive industry, where it is increasingly required the use of innovative materials and technologies for the reduction of the vehicle weight in order to reduce the environmental impact.
The target of the research takes place in this context; it is aimed at evaluating the possibilities of using innovative materials and technologies for the production of parts, both structural and non-structural, currently made using traditional materials.
The implementation of these technologies will allow the development of weight-optimized hybrid or electric vehicles with direct advantages from the point of view of energy saving and energy efficiency.
