The research focuses on the reading of the various restoration work carried out on the church of San Paolo a Ripa d'Arno in Pisa, from the end of the nineteenth century until today. A special attention will be devoted to the project and to the work of Piero Sanpaolesi, after World War II, even by comparison with similar operations carried out mainly in the Pisa area as part of the broader cultural panorama and its protagonists. The understanding of past choices, with the analysis of the materials and of the degradation – also by laboratory tests, will be aimed at understanding the current state of the building, at the identification of methods of intervention, especially for a critical approach regarding also at the last restoration project

Required degrees: - Master Degree in Architecture V.O., achieved under the legislation in force previously the DM509/99; - Master Degree in Architecture, (4/S), (LM-4 c.u.), (LM 4 class) and phd in architecture. The applicant must hold documented studies or working experience in architectural project; knowledge of problems and norms related to restoration, with reference to Tuscany.
Will be positively evaluated: academic titles as fellowships; research contracts; masters degree; etc..
