This programme is part of a EU funded effort named SPARE: Development of Spatial risk assessment framework for Assessing exotic disease incuRsion and spread through Europe.
One of the partners of SPARE is Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale (IZS), which is subcontracting to a research team in Politecnico (POLITO) lead by Professor Mauro Gasparini the parts of the programme with a definite statistical character.
POLITO will assist with developing social network analysis models and providing technical reports based on the activity of data mining, data management and processing and statistical analysis and mathematical modelling applied to subsets of the European animal populations, commodities transports data and road and water ways selected within case studies.
