The research program aims to analyze the different existing business models for WEEE recycling and recovery, considering different phases of the process: collection, separation, disassembly, grinding, recovery of precious metals and rare earths, conversion of existing plants, the production recovered material. Second, the program aims at developing a new business model to be applied to the specific context of the project and the set of stakeholders involved; it should assess the economic return of the project and its financial sustainability in general. Finally, the research program aims to assess the general applicability of the model developed in the project to other organizations that are different from the ones involved in E-WASTE at both the national and international level.
