The bibliography of art criticism by Vittorio Pica is still far from being complete. The recipient of the research grant is therefore called to the integration of the data so far available, by screening Italian and foreign titles, in libraries and private archives, after tutor's direction. The digital acquisition of published texts and archival documents is aimed at the setting up an open-access iconic and textual database, on a dedicated platform (www.capti.it), as an opportunity for further investigating the art system in Italy between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: with attention not only to critical discourse and the reception of artists and avant-garde movements, but also to the private market and the cultural policy of major pubblic institutions
