European Research Council funded fellowship Crossmodal plasticity of the occipital cortex of blind individuals

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The main objective of the project is the evaluation of how the occipital cortex of blind people (classically considered visual), reorganized to process non-visual inputs. This crossmodal plasticity will be evaluated using behavioral and neuroimaging techniques, mostly fMRI in combination with multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) and connectivity analysis techniques.

Therefore, the postdoc to be hired under this project is expected to (a) design, program, run, and analyze fMRI experiments using normal-sighted and blind participants, and to (b) prepare manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
