Genetic characterization of ancient human sample of proto history age

The main goal of this project is to study, by a palaeogenetic approach, the demographic dynamics of Italy from Neolithic transition to modern days. The project will involve the screening of ancient samples by means of mitochondrial HVS-I typing through standard methods (PCR, cloning and Sanger Sequencing). subsequently, for the selected samples complete mitochondrial genome will be attempted by Target Enrichment with oligo-capture and Illumina sequencing.
