Non linear Schrödinger equations describing the collapse of the wave function” - Project UE FP7 n. 304886/FP7-ICT-2011-C Collaborative project – NANOQUESTFIT

The scientific literature is populated with two classes of nonlinear Schrödinger euqations, wich describe the collapse of the wave function: equations linked to gravity (Schrödinger-Newton equation and Diosi-Penrose model) and “GRW-type” equations. All these equations, for different reasons, have problems, or are not well defined mathematically. Aim of the project is to investigate the cause of such problems, and to put forward possible solutions. Some attempts have already been made. Therefore, one needs to analyze also such proposals.

The research program is part of the NANOQUESTFIT Project.
