The Research Fellow shall be mainly involved in the numerical modelling of the residual stress phenomenon starting from the simulation of the casting process and thus analyzing the effect of the spatial and temporal Temperature distribution in terms of tensions generated by thermal contractions prevented by the part geometry. The softwares which shall be adopted for this research activity are: MAGMA and ABAQUS. Simulation results will be arranged for the subsequent construction of a Response Surface (RS) using the most conventional generation algorithm (the software which shall be adopted is modeFRONTIER).
