The research project aims to analyze in a comparative perspective how citizenship, both at institutional and practical level is experienced differently according to gender, generation and nationality. The attention will be devoted in particular to social rights and practices related to care. In the framework of an European research project which encompasses different types of welfare states, care and migration regimes (among the countries included there will be Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherland and Denmark) the research will develop along three main axis: 1) migration and care work; 2) gender and citizenship; 3) family mobility and social and civil rights.
