DIANET project - Danube:Future - A sustainable future for the Danube River Basin as a challenge for interdisciplinary humanities

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The purpose of the Danube:Future project – approved by the EU Strategy for Danube Region, priority area n. 7 – Knowledge Society, as a joint initiative of the Alps Adriatic Rectors' Conference and the Danube – is addressing the “sustainable development” of the Danube Basin and of its neighbouring areas with an interdisciplinary research method.

The human impact on the environment shall be analysed, in order to define new ways to protect the environment and therefore limit the worsening of the environmental conditions. The project can cover a wide range of research fields such as, for instance, hydromorphological changes, pollution, loss of biodiversity, disappearance of fish, climate change; but also fields such as territorial and historical-economic dynamics, preservation of cultural heritage or archaeology.

The project proposals must therefore be aimed at research in the macro sector of sustainable development.
