The ultimate goal is the derivation of macroscopic evolution laws (e.g. the evolution of the local energy: the temperature) from a microscopic Hamiltonian evolution. This entails the understanding of major issues in the fields of Dynamical Systems and Probability. Few examples are: Statistical properties of hyperbolic systems with discontinuities, partially hyperbolic systems, non-uniformly hyperbolic systems; Statistical properties of infinite dimensional or non-compact Dynamical Systems; Averaging theory in Dynamical Systems (systems with fast-slow degrees of freedom); Perturbation Theory and Dynamical Systems;
Statistical properties of hypo-elliptic diffusion processes; Hydrodynamics for non-gradient particle systems; Limit laws for degenerate Markov Chains and Dynamical Systems;
