The research program concerns methodological activities devoted to control logic setup integrated in the vehicle dynamics models. The models can be moved into real-time (HIL) experimental test benches used for the design and testing of engine control strategies. The activity includes the validation of the model integrated into the HIL system: to this end, control strategies of the HIL system are needed in order to simulate the real operating conditions of the vehicle. The comparison of the data obtained from the simulations with the experimental ones allow to perform the calibration of the model from varying control parameters and operating conditions

The selection criteria are determinated by the Commission and will be expressed in 100 points scale with appropriate evaluation. They will be object of evaluation the final degree work, post degree activities, pubblications, research experiences. Interview
The examination will be consists of an interview on skills and experinces of the candidates with particular focus on the knowledge in the field of development of simulation models of internal combustion engines and methods for modeling “control-oriented” Diesel engines with particular emphasis on “real-time” applications designed for HiL (Hardware-in-the-loop) systems
