The Research Program aims to investigate the boundaries among the culture of doing, the design culture and industrial manufacturing culture. In developing the investigation, the project will play a role in the stimulation and enhancement of productive and cultural skills, through strategic actions able to transform the capabilities that are embedded in the territory into products that meet the expectations of the contemporary market. The project aims to act not only on the scale of a single product, making significant typological revisions, but also through the development of knowledge, methods, tools and procedures that will stimulate and enhance the ability of businesses on the Italian territory. The project focuses on specific areas of the textile and clothing industry, experimenting knowledge transfer processes and hybridization of techniques between craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing in order to revitalize peculiar Italian productions with a strong market potential.
