The department Regulation in Infection Biology (Prof. Emmanuelle Charpentier) at the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research in Braunschweig and Hannover Medical School in Hannover (Germany) is offering PhD Positions to investigate RNA-mediated CRISPR-Cas adaptive immunity in bacteria and develop the RNA-programmable CRISPR-Cas9 technology for targeted genome engineering. See our recent key publications in 2011 (Nature _471:602-607_), 2012 (Science _337:816-821_) and 2013 (Nature _495:50-51_).
