Men and environment through archaeological evidences, written sources and ancient cartography

This research aims to analize and reconstruct le landscape of the venetian lagoon through archaeological evidences, written sources and ancient cartography. The study will be focused on sample areas: San Lorenzo di Ammiana (northern lagoon), Sant'Ilario e Benedetto (southern lagoon), Jesolo, Malamocco (litoral zone). Great attention will be dedicated to geomorphologic transformations and to their relation with human settlements. Data from different analysis and previous reserches will be systematized in a GIS platform
