): Statistical methods of termodynamics and kinetics properties applied to transport of molecules.

The activity will focus on the development/testing of new/old methods for calculating kinetics and thermodynamics properties relevant for the transport of molecules through bacterial pores and complex efflux systems. The research will range from the setup of a protocol to parametrize molecules via quantum calculations to the calculation of free energy minima and barriers and the accurate evaluation of the kinetic parameters necessary to estimate efficiently and realistically the flux of molecules in different ranges of temperatures and pH conditions.
