VERONA NANOMEDICINE INITIATIVE - Magnetosomes used as cell labeling nanoparticles and MRI contrast agents

Magnetosomes will be used to label tumor and stem-cells. During the first part of the project, the experimental protocols for cell labeling will be defined in order to obtain significant cell uptake to magnetosomes. In the second part, MRI images will be acquired in order to visualize labeled cells. Moreover the biodistribution of magnetosomes in mice will be investigated.
