Galileo for Interactive driviNg - Ref. 265/2013

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The increasing road traffic density in Europe is causing considerable negative effects such as traffic congestion, accidents and increasing CO2 emissions.

The aim of the Program of Research GAIN is to develop and finalize the Enhanced Active Green Driving (EAGD) system for real time optimization and reduction of CO2 emission and fuel consumption. The proposed solution is based on an already existing prototype called Active Green Driving (AGD) which needs to be extended and optimized. The current prototype implemented is limited by only using a simple GPS system and static route information from standard navigation maps.

Within the Program of Research GAIN, a refined positioning algorithm which is based on EGNOS/EDAS data will be developed. Further, VANET communication will be used to improve the knowledge about the road with dynamic information about other vehicles and road side units.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
