Safety performance of complex systems (e.g. Critical Infrastructures) are strongly influenced by a wide spectrum of threats and uncertainties. Appropriate resilience strategies contribute to the reduction of system vulnerability and to the rapid recovery from service disruptions induced by possible accidental or intentional events.
Primary research objective is the development of a simulation-based approach to the identification and selection of effective resilience measures starting from information made available by involved operators during a generic emergency. The final tool will be developed on top of a simulation model, already available, and implemented in Simulink.
