The construction of the MOSE project at the entrances of the lagoon of Venice is now at an advanced stage. This makes it more and more necessary to control the inclusion of this infrastructural work both from the architectural and environmental point of view . The engagement of IUAV to follow these issues involves, therefore, the verification of the impact of the technical structures on the environment, the architectural development of the buildings, and the clarification of the relationship between the platform that contains all of them and the surrounding landscape. In particular, the research will focus on the study of materials that can be used as a screening for the techinical structures and that of fencing systems. In addition The research will also be directed towards the detailed definition of those parts of the MOSE system in more direct contact with the public areas of the city from the perspective of their use by the residents.
