Development of a spectrometer for electron photoemission experiments with FEL radiation

The research will be eminently experimental and aim to carry out experiments of photoemission from solid surfaces initiated by ultrashort light pulses FEL. The work program shall provide that its first objective the characterization of a time-of-flight spectrometer to devote to this kind of experiment and its integration into an experimental chamber for the study of surfaces. The second objective involves the study of the effects of space charge on the photoemission spectra excited with FEL radiation.
