The candidate will study and develop new methods that could help the neurosurgeon to plan the intervention based on pre-operative medical imaging and intra-operative acquired data. In particular, the open source 3D Slicer environment will be used to load and process medical data, create virtual models, define safe trajectories and forbidden regions in the brain, navigate intra-operative information and assist the intervention.
As a follow-up, different anatomical regions and different interventions (with similar research issues) could be considered during the research.
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
