The research of interest resides within the activities of PRIN 2010-2011 “ The control of growth of plant roots: an approach of systems biology” and it is focused to the physico-mathematical modeling of the growth processes in root meristems, with the final aim at providing a softwar able to interpret the growth data by physically-grounded models. The ideal candidate is going to have a strong engineering background, with a special regards to Biomedical Engineering, he/she shall have strong and proven skills in biological systems modeling and translation of models in computationals tools. Due to the international nature of the research (collaboration with the John Innes Centre of Norwich-UK) it is required a very good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken).
