TITLE (ENG): STUDY OF CLONAL EVOLUTION IN MULTIPLE MYELOMA THROUGH GENOMIC CHARACTERIZATION OF CELLULAR ECOSYSTEM

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Multiple Myeloma (MM) is not a single disease but rather a collection of related disorders that manifest clinically with the proliferation of different clones of plasma. To understand the impact of therapy on the phenomenon of resistance to treatment, we should understand its impact on intraclonal heterogeneity. The research activity of the research fellow will be focused on the molecular characterization of MM heterogeneity and, in particular, on the characterization of the predominant CD138 + clone and minor subclones, through the use of innovative technologies that enable high-resolution genomic analysis. In order to explore the fluctuations of the different clones over time we will study MM patients’ samples longitudinally (i.e. at diagnosis, at first remission and at relapse). The molecular characterization of these events could increase the knowledge on the mechanisms of progression of MM, thus possibly allowing the development of therapies for refractory disease.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
