The aim of the project is to verify the actual amount of specimens and species kept in the collection. This aim will be pursued principally through an updated catalogue, based on a modern revision of classified material and a correct identification of unclassified specimens. Meanwhile, the history of the collection will be reconstructed through acquisition of all the data associated with each specimen and comparison with archive data. In parallel, revision work to complete the database also has the aim of checking the conservation status of specimens, carrying out appropriate maintenance, museum available to the scientific community, thus promoting contact and collaboration with other museums and institutions
