Clinical and prognostic aspects of liver and/or lung disease in patients with Severe Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency: analysis of Italian Registry and Alpha-1 International Registry (AIR)

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Alpha1-antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) is an autosomal co-dominant disorder that increases the risk of developing a variety of diseases including pulmonary emphysema and cirrhosis of the liver. The Italian Registry for AATD is member of the all’Alpha1 International Registry (AIR), that comprises clinical, epidemiological and genetic data from more than 5500 patients with AATD. The main aims of the research are the elaboration and statistical analysis of these data to create case histories with homogeneous follow-up with the goal to better define clinical and prognostic aspects of liver and/or lung disease in patients with AATD. Moreover, the international logistic base to select patients cohorts for analysis of pathogenetic and theraputical aspects of AATD will be created.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
