SYNTHESIS OF NEW BIOACTIVE MOLECULES FROM WASTE PRODUCTS OF THE AGRO-FOOD CHAIN

The research will be carried out as part of the project “Recovery and valorization of the by-products of the agricultural and food industry, for the development of innovative functional foods, cosmeceutical and nutraceutical products” (Hi-life).

The project is mainly focused of the study of products of the milk, olive oil and citrus industries.

The research project is aimed at the synthesis of bioactive molecules derived from waste products of the food industry to make the design and development of new cosmeceuticals and nutraceuticals products, and functionalized food containing mainly these functionalized molecules.
