Teaching approaches and sensory disabilities

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research project is in tune with the themes of education and social inclusion of children with sensory disabilities. The objective of the research is to provide guidance on teaching strategies useful to the many operational autonomy, so that the pupil can do, even if in a different way, what they do with comrades comrades, thanks to materials and mediators accessible and functional.
The main purpose is to solicit the school contexts to become places for the development of capabilities (Sen, 2005), which means expand and ensure the ability / right to choose which also covers individual and collective freedoms, fundamental rights referred to all the dimensions of human life. In this sense, learning difficulties can be regarded as capability deprivation, to be understood as a failure to start the process of empowerment which, however, should always be favored and started (Sen, 2004; Nussbaum, 2002).
