Structural problems in archaeological framework

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research concerns the study of the mechanical behaviour of historical and monumental masonry, with particular attention to archeological heritage, in view of their protection and conservation. It is mainly addressed the knowledge of the mechanical models and computational tools to use for structural analysis. Particular interest will play the definition of appropriate constitutive models for masonry media and the study of the seismic behaviour. The problem develops in a specialized field, but goes beyond the merely disciplinary boundaries because its possible solutions can affect the subsequent choices of intervention
