The research program pertains to the constitutive formulation of soft biological tissues by means of an integrated experimental and numerical analysis, defining procedures aimed at the definition of constitutive parameters associated with formulated models. The development of the activity entails the treatment of coupled geometric and material non linear problems. It is also requested the definition of structural models, by using finite element method, developed assuming the constitutive models formulated and the experimental biomechanical analysis of corresponding biological structures. Particular attention will be paid to urologic and gastrointestinal regions. Basic competences in the area of non linear continuum mechanics and computational mechanics are requested together with deep knowledge of soft tissue mechanics in broad sense.
