Mediterranean plants as source of natural compounds to be used as bio-herbicides in a sustainable agriculture

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research project is to identify within a community of spontaneous plant species of Mediterranean flora, those characterized by high phytotoxic potential using in vitro assays on model plants and/or weeds and crop species. The metabolic profile of more interesting plant species will be carried out to identify the secondary metabolites involved in phytotoxic responses. Finally, the biologically active molecules will be tested on plant species in order to understand their biochemical, physiological and molecular targets and to evaluate their potential use as bio-herbicides for weed control.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
