New Gold Catalyzed Steroselective Methodologies for the Synthesis of Heterocyclic Compounds

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Stereoselective gold catalysis is gaining growing credit within the chemical community due to the unique attitude of [Au(I)] species towards the electrophilic activation of ?-systems. In particular, nucleophilic manipulations of alkynes, alkenes, allenes have been extensively investigated and developed by means of cationic gold species, recently
The research project focuses on the asymmetric de-aromatization of aromatic rings via selective condensation through C-C multiple bonds. Gold catalysis will allow cascade reactions of taking place with the in situ formation of reactive gold-alkyl as well as gold-alkylidene intermediates.
Benzene-like as well as indolyl and pyrrolyl derivatives will be directly transformed into corresponding dearomatized compounds with concomitant creation of stereogenic centers in configurationally defined manner.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
