The project will develop scientific and technical knowledge focused to the selection and synthesis, computer aided-design, of new natural and natural-like phenol- and polyphenol inhibitors useful for insect control and having acceptable toxicological profiles for cosmetic application. The project will entail also modeling study of the new molecule that will be devoted to the analysis of functional groups of the molecule on its structural and electronic proprieties in order to investigate competitive and no-competitive effect against tyrosinase enzyme. The new molecules will be prepared according to the guide lines of the Sustainable Chemistry and molecules will be characterized by spectroscopic techniques in solutions. Inhibitors activities will be tested by biologists/physicians (UNISS) and entomologists (CNR ISE SS) involved in the project.
