Corporate institutional structures change because of internal and external factors. CEO turnover, for example, can be faster or slower due to corporate moves such as corporate listing, M&As, specific strategic choices such as internationalization. The research project aims at studying the relations of strategic corporate choices, environmental features and corporate governance structures, with special reference to top management. Research shall also involve comparison of the conditions of different countries in order to investigate the role played by context variables and, in particular, by institutional variables.
