Evaluation of disinfection treatment on Legionella spp. contamination in health-care facilities.

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The Legionella spp. infection is a developing issue of public health with an international surveillance by ELDSNet. Host susceptibility, the distribution systems, stagnation and scales, seem to play an important role in L.spp colonization and can contribute to defence by disinfectants. The control of L.spp contamination in water environment is difficult due to the capacity of the microorganism to colonize water systems and resist to disinfection. The disinfection systems usually are: heat shock, chlorination, UV treatment, ionization silver/copper, these treatments are described in literature in few establishments and for short time. The test of new disinfectants is required to identify most suitable solutions to control contamination. The aim of project is to assess the efficiency of disinfection treatments in Health Care Facilities by evaluation of risk assessment plan, bacteriological monitoring of water system, to direct the strategic choices for the control of legionellosis.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
