Global markets and progressive growth of complexity in the firm-environment relationships require new and advanced corporate governance models, drawn to a general recovery of effectiveness.
In this regard, the sustainable development represents a very significant topic, the implementation of which needs appropriate policies of governance, common principles and ethical values in the business network, effective risk management and internal control systems.
The research aims at analyzing the interrelationships between corporate governance and corporate global responsibility, as condition for firm sustainable development. Accordingly, the research seeks to highlight – theoretically and empirically - the increasing cross-connects or interfaces between economic and socio-environmental effectiveness and efficiency, as necessary conditions to minimize risk exposure and to ensure long-term company success
