The project involves the development of embedded systems for the acquisition and decoding of biological signals, aimed to get close to a bidirectional interaction between human and “smart” artificial systems.
The research activity is related with the project HandBot, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR) under the PRIN 2010/2011 program.
The general aim is the development of an electronic system able to measure, transmit and decode biological signals of a patient.
The first objective will be related with the development of HW modules and with the optimization of dedicated software to support data acquisition and processing. The second task will involve the development of a data transmission system based on a wireless communication module. Finally, the candidate will co-operate to the validation phase, testing the system against real applications.
