To help in maintaining, propagating and increasing the economic value of the species-rich semi-natural grassland biodiversity, with reference to the Venetian plain, the Department of Agronomy contributes to create through field surveys and to establish a Webgis based land register of the species rich semi-natural grasslands accessible to the open spaces technicians and usable for collecting seed of native ecotypes useful for high biodiversity restorations.
The activity provides the following phases: acquiring of already available information about the territorial distribution species rich grasslands; preparation of the necessary Webgis maps; field evaluation of the signaled grasslands with reference to their suitability for seed production of native ecotypes; Webgis inclusion of suitable grasslands; publication of the Webgis; drafting of a text about the obtained knowledge.
