A PhD project is currently available in the group of Dr Karen Edler, in collaboration with Dr Ann Terry (ISIS) and Dr Tom Arnold (Diamond) to work on novel polymer-lipid nanodiscs to be developed as supports for membrane proteins.

Membrane proteins are found in the lipid membrane around all cells, where they regulate cell signalling & transport of species into and out of the cell. They are important drug targets, making knowledge of their structures vital for development of new therapeutics. ...
