Tools for surveying, mapping and interpreting post-flood damage

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Post-flood damage surveys are still conducted adopting mainly an administrative focus, to gather information about losses sustained by private citizens and economic activities for future compensation. Administrations also survey damage to public facilities and infrastructures for which direct funding will be provided by the state. This way though we still lack relevant information to understand what vulnerability and exposure factors counted most in the occurrence of damage at a regional and urban level. This research program aims at exploring more advanced damage survey and representation techniques, also through case studies, like for example the Umbria flood that occurred in November 2012. This program is aimed also at analyzing current damage survey programs internationally including the well established procedures of insurance and reinsurance companies.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
