Marie Curie Actions funded fellowship Numerical models of explosive volcanic eruptions and assessment of their hazard

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The goal of the project is the development and application of numerical codes for simulating the fragmentation, ascent, ejection, transport and deposition of eruptive products from the conduit to the atmospheric domain. Activities will be related to one or more of the following topics: sensitivity analysis of numerical models to input parameters and different physical formulations of the transport equations, development of physical-mathematical models of the processes, post-processing and visualisation of simulation results, application of the developed models for the evaluation of eruptive scenarios and hazard assessment at selected Italian and foreign volcanoes (e.g. Vesuvius, Campi Flegrei, Soufriere Hills, Mount Saint Helens, etc.).

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
