Geographical ontology for classical latin literature (Prof. LANA)

Geolat project (geography for latin literature) is seeking a person which will be involved in the definition of

requisites, in the design, and in the development of a prototype of software environment for the

annotation of latin texts from a digital library.

The candidate will then:

analyze and evaluate existing ontologies with geographical content;

define a geographical ontology suited to the needs which the research team will define;

collaborate with the firm which will develop the prototypical work environment for the semantic

annotation of a digital library texts, while actively participating to the main decisions and contributing to

the development of the software system.

Requirements:

scientific and professional CV attesting robust computer science knowledge (an official certification is

requested, attesting name and grade of passed examinations) about the following themes and areas:

computational ontologies: principles and use;
