The objective of this research project is to create a multimodal database and a software architecture of decision support (DSS) that would:
1. guide and assist the integration of information related to specific clinical issues (evaluation and management of cardiovascular risk, of nodular thyroid disease, etc..) and collected in a database accessible both locally and on the web;
2. investigate the performance of alternative data analysis tools to medical statistics and biometrics, represented by the emerging discipline of "Machine Learning" (decision trees, searching for association rules, etc.).
3. offer the best diagnostic / therapeutic indications, based on algorithms developed from the guidelines;
4. compare, even retrospectively, such information with the choices hypothesized or already implemented by the user, allowing to point out where they differ from the "best practice".
