MeLa intends to support the development of an up-to-date policy in the field of museums and galleries, redefining their role, mission, organization, networking between museums, and between museums and other related institutions, as well as architectural, exhibition and communication design in relation to the contemporary processes of globalization and migrations of people, individuals, things, information and knowledge. It’s assumed that the museum institution must respond to the challenges of the increasing complexity of contemporary culture and life. In terms of meanings and values of history and memory, identity and diversity, their collective representation in museums should act at a scale not constrained by national borders and communicate to a larger and multifaceted audience. The project aims to bring theoretical, methodological, and operative contributions to the issue of “identity and citizenship representation” inside a renewed idea of museum for the 21st Century.
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
