Fellowship posted by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (25/05/2013 02.04)

Study of trigger methods and algorithms for ultra-rare dacays of K mesons.

Please note that the job is no longer active!

One of the aspects of the PRIN 2010-2011 project “Development of very high efficiency and excellent time resolution detectors, and related experimental techniques, for studying flavor physics and looking for 'new physics' in ultra-rare neutral kaon decays through the upgrade of the NA62 apparatus at CERN” concerns the development of a read-out and data acquisition system for a detector whose main goal will be to provide a trigger for the experiment.

The successful candidate will study the trigger algorithms to be implemented in data acquisiton cards based on FPGA and GPU, taking advantage of the experience acquired in NA62 and performing tests using the present system, based on the TEL62 card

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
