Constructivism and International Relations

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research project deals with the critical assessment of four main issues: 1) the theoretical origins of constructivism, and how those insights have been revisited by constructivist scholars; 2) the constructivist critique of realism – above all neorealism –, including the emphasis on a new conceptualization of international anarchy; 3) the fundamental constructivist claim that international affairs can be seen as a «social construct»; 4) the development of a systemic theory of international politics, based upon constructivist assumption, that has the ambition to replace neorealism.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
