The aim of the project is using formic acid (or formates) for hydrogen production with the development of heterogeneous catalysts for the whole cycle carbon dioxide/cabonate/formic acid. The catalysts under investigation are supported colloidal nanocrystals based on microcrystal structure assembly mediated by organic molecules under microwave irradiation. Through a combinatorial approach, the work is finalized to the continuous flow degradation of formic acid into H2 and CO2 for fuel-cell feeding
